We are very happy to undertake specific research built around your particular query or need.  If you are undertaking your own family research sooner or later you may come to a dead end or need help to overcome a research problem.

We are very happy to undertake research on your behalf no matter how small or large the brick wall might appear. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh approach and knowledge of a less well known source in a local or national archive.

Examples of typical search requests might be to:

•     find specific birth, marriage, death, burial or census information
•     search for material not available online such as post 1901 wills and testaments
•     investigate a particular family story or history of a family firm or business
•     search applications for poor relief at Glasgow City Archives (Poor Law Archives)
•     identify and research a criminal trial at the National Archives of Scotland
•     locate evidence recording when your ancestor was evicted in the Highland Clearances
•     investigate estate or government papers at the National Archives of Scotland
•     find biographical information from personal papers at the National Library of Scotland
